Bill Heath to leave Macro

Bill Heath, Chairman of Macro and Managing Director of Macro International, will be leaving Macro later this year to seek new opportunities after 15 years of leading the successful facilities management business, and helping to build its client base across the globe.

Bill was one of five original founders of Macro back in 2002. He set the brief for the business to become an experienced, strategic and dependable property and business solutions provider, and that is exactly what it became under his leadership. Since 2002, Macro has grown organically and now operates in 35 countries with employee numbers approaching 850 and a turnover in 2017 reaching over £120m.

Commenting, Bill Heath said: "The past 15 years have gone so quickly and I have enjoyed every moment working with fantastic people and wonderful clients. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to grow the Macro business from a standing start and proud of what has been achieved. It is not easy for me to leave Macro as the people and business are very close to my heart. I will continue to be passionate about Facilities Management and intend to look for new opportunities in the FM industry."

Mark Reynolds, Chief Executive of Macro's parent company Mace, said: "Bill has been at the centre of the Macro business since its inception and on behalf of the Board, I would like to thank him for his contribution and loyalty. Macro has become highly regarded and a successful part of the Mace business, and Bill has been instrumental in that success. We are currently in the process of finding a successor to lead Macro in the Middle East, someone who will build on the solid foundations Bill leaves behind. I wish Bill the best of luck for the future."
