Macro client National Museum of Oman wins award

Macro’s client, The National Museum of Oman, has been awarded the Best Government Real Estate Project Award in Oman in the 2016 Oman Real Estate Awards Competition, arranged by OREA (the Oman Real Estate Association).

Macro provides a Total Facilities Management (TFM) solution at the museum’s brand new premises in Muscat. The full scope of services include technical solutions, cleaning, pest control, managed polices, a Quality Management System (QMS), Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM), Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) and resource management.

The National Museum of Oman is built across 13,700 sq metres and covers all aspects of Oman's rich cultural heritage, displaying maritime history, currency, crafts, archaeology, maps and prints within its large 14 galleries. There is an UHD standard AV theatre, a conservation department along facilities for collections management, graphics, interactive displays and classrooms designed for teaching children who visit the museum about the artefacts held within the facility. The museum houses one of the largest free standing display cabinets in the world and caters for all visitors with special needs.
